What You’ll Do
Assist The Manager With The Following Responsibilities
- Wear required personal protective equipment including respirators, disposable coveralls with hoods, safety glasses, and safety toe shoes
- Set up and operate spray booth painting equipment to coat metal products with paint and rust-proofing materials
- Prepare metal surfaces for painting
- Mix paints, chemicals, and thinners to required specifications and control viscosity levels
- Clean painting equipment and tools; organize and store materials properly
- Dispose of waste materials according to OSHA and company safety standards
- Maintain accurate daily and weekly production records
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant industrial painting experience
- Experience working with spray booth operations
- Ability to wear a half-piece respirator during paint operations
- Ability to pass:
- Annual OSHA-compliant respirator fit test
- Annual OSHA-compliant spirometry test
- Annual “Fit for Duty” physical
- Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per day and occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of spray booth equipment and painting operations
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to identify issues and communicate effectively with supervisors
