Key Responsibilities:
· Design and realisation of mechanical ground support systems.
· Mass budget management, estimation and measurement of COG, Moments of Inertia, and Launch vehicle interface management.
· Support the AIT design and implementation flow and GSE Design/trade-off analysis.
· Carry out trade off analysis on different designs to choose the best structure for the satellite, considering mission requirements and other constraints.
· Carry out satellite alignment, design & implementation.
· Lead the satellite assembly and integration campaigns from the mechanical perspective.
· Support the preliminary & detailed thermal implementation of the Thermal Control Subsystem (TCS).
· Working with System Engineering Team in tasks such as unit accommodation, trade-off analysis, system-level failure modes and analysis, mechanical architecture.
· Supply chain technical management and components pre-selection.
· Support feasibility studies and concurrent engineering activities.
Requirements:
· Minimum of a bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or a related field.
· Relevant experience in the space or automobile industry.
· Knowledge and professional experience of the full lifecycle of space related mechanical and thermal subsystems.
· Ability to analyse large amounts of data with scripting or other tools, derive conclusions, and manage design documentation as well as review and approve design changes.
· Comfortable working closely with external vendors and consortium partners.
· Ability to handle FEM and TMM. Expertise with NASTRAN/NX CAD & CAE tools (preferred).
· Experience in participating in a space related mechanical and/or thermal qualification campaign.
· Professional experience within development lifecycle (design trades, CAD design, prototyping, manufacturing, testing, qualification);
· Fluent written and spoken skills in English.
