At Pixxel, It’s not enough for us to just dump satellite images down from satellites to users. It’s important that we equip the end users with the tools they’d need to work with this imagery and any other data to derive insights in a seamless manner on a single platform without any hassle. Towards that goal, we are building “Aurora” - an all-inclusive platform for a wide range of tasks within the remote sensing and geospatial analytics domain.
The Aurora platform will offer a seamless user experience, empowering individuals and organizations to accomplish various tasks, from requesting satellite imagery across specific regions to importing and analyzing diverse datasets using advanced analytics and machine learning models to obtain valuable insights, alerts, and recommendations. Furthermore, the platform will facilitate tracking actions based on recommendations and monitor their impact.
As a Product Management Intern for Aurora, you will own multiple products and features across the funnel (Acquisition → Activation → Monetization → Retention → Referral).
In this role, you will be working cross-functionally with Pixxel's Engineering Team (Software Engineers, Cloud Engineers), Machine Learning Engineers, Geospatial Analysts, Satellite Team and Pixxel's commercialisation (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success) team on the product roadmap.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Own and drive product features through their entire product life cycle: ideation, design, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer interviews to identify customer needs and market trends.
- Talking to customers, sales team & company leadership to understand how our AI / ML models and products can help large enterprises in leveraging satellite data in optimizing their operations and improving resiliency
- Drive product strategy and define roadmaps, MVPs with focus on business outcomes
- Come up with solutions for end user’s problems and design simplified BPMN 2.0 diagrams, user flow diagrams, wireframes and UX prototypes
- Write Product Requirement Documents, Functional Specification Documents, create and maintain a prioritized product backlog and user stories
- Groom the requirements thoroughly to the development team and manager delivery of features with agile framework and ceremonies like sprint planning, scrum, etc.
- Ruthless prioritization - Amongst the hundreds of use cases, features and products that we can build, you will be responsible for defining what to build and what not to build
- Translate & define outputs from AI & ML models into platform user interface to help different user personas in large client enterprises
- Manage the day-to-day operations in the product life-cycle
- Define, measure, report and drive the improvement of product metrics
- Write SQL queries and create product analytics dashboards
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to deliver the product features
- Track features to timely delivery by removing any communication gaps and roadblocks across the teams
- Test each and every small/big feature like an end user
- Write user manuals, FAQs, API documentations to enable seamless user experience and improve feature adoption
- Present product feature demos to various internal and external stakeholders
- Act as a product evangelist, internally and externally, by providing required product documentation, presentations, training, and support to sales, marketing and customer success teams
Desirable Skills & Certifications:
- Any past internship(s) in product management in B2B SaaS industry
- Any hands-on experience in past on projects in AI/ML or Geospatial Analytics
- Location: Indiranagar, Bangalore [Work from Office]

- Hands-on approach with customers, technology, and design, whether it's about getting on call with customers, creating wireframes, or writing tech specs for the product
