Role Description:
We are looking for a highly driven and relationship-oriented Business Development professional to lead Pixxel’s supplier ecosystem and procurement strategy. This role is critical in enabling our satellite missions by securing the right hardware, at the right time, from the right partners—both domestically and globally. You will work closely with engineering, mission management, and leadership teams to ensure that Pixxel’s supply chain remains robust, scalable, and mission-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Management & Partnerships
Own, build, and nurture strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers across hardware categories.
Continuously evaluate supplier capabilities, performance, and reliability to support Pixxel’s current and future mission requirements.
Conduct regular supplier business reviews and maintain long-term partnership roadmaps.
Procurement Strategy & Execution
Lead procurement strategy across multiple satellite missions and development cycles.
Collaborate with engineering and program teams to identify procurement needs, timelines, and specifications.
Drive RFPs/RFQs, vendor shortlisting, technical/financial evaluation, and contracting processes.
Ensure timely availability of critical hardware and components while optimising cost, quality, and schedule.
Negotiation & Deal Closure
Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers globally.
Finalise agreements and close deals that align with Pixxel’s technical standards, cost expectations, and risk tolerance.
Mitigate procurement and supply chain risks through proactive planning and alternate sourcing.
Required skills & Qualification:
Must-Have
Strong conversational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships with vendors and partners.
Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable owning processes end-to-end.
Background in supply chain management, procurement, vendor development, or related functions.Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electronics, Aerospace, or similar).
Good to Have
Experience in hardware procurement, especially in aerospace, manufacturing, electronics, or high-reliability components.
Exposure to global suppliers or international procurement.
Business education (MBA or equivalent).
