Educational Qualification: CA (Chartered Accountant)/ CMA (Cost Management Accountant) or Master's degree in Finance/Commerce/Business Administration (MBA – Finance preferred)
Work Experience: 3–6 years of relevant experience, with significant, hands-on exposure to Indian
government contracts-experience with iDEX, ISRO, MoD, IDDM, Make Indian, Make and
Buy Indian or other PSU/government engagements is necessary.
Role Description:
We are looking for a hands-on Business Finance Partner to serve as the primary POC for all our
government contacts. This role sits at the intersection of finance and business, dedicated to
Pixxel's Indian government and defence contracts (including iDEX, DRDO, ISRO, and other
PSU/ministry engagements). The person will own the P&L for this business line, drive budgeting
and profitability, and be the primary finance partner to the business development and program
teams working on government bids, grants, and contracts. Strong command over government
procurement processes, financial documentation, and stakeholder relationships within
Government agencies are essential.
Responsibilities & Duties:
P&L and Financial Ownership
Own the P&L for the government contracts business — track revenue, costs, and margins by project/contract.
Build and manage budgets for government programs; monitor spend against sanctioned budgets and milestones.
Drive profitability analysis and cost optimization across active and upcoming government projects.
Prepare periodic MIS, forecasts, and variance reports for leadership.
Bids, Proposals and Contract Documentation
Lead financial structuring and costing for project bids, proposals, RFPs/RFIs/RFQs, and grant applications (e.g., iDEX, ISRO).
Prepare financial sections of tender responses, ensuring compliance with government financial norms (GFR, DAP, GeM, etc.).
Draft, review, and manage contract documentation, milestone-linked disbursement schedules, and compliance filings, ensure completeness and accuracy of all documentations.
Government & Stakeholder Relationship Management
Serve as a key finance point of contact for government agencies, ministries, and PSU partners.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with counterparts in DRDO, ISRO, iDEX, and other defence/government bodies.
Represent Pixxel in financial discussions, audits, and clarifications with government stakeholders.
Ensure high-quality written communication in all correspondence, submissions, and reporting to government entities.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner closely with business development, program management, legal, and technical teams on deal structuring and contract execution.
Support internal and statutory audits related to government contracts and grants.
Advise business teams on financial risk, funding milestones, and compliance requirements through the contract lifecycle.
Desirable Skills & Certifications:
Solid understanding of government procurement and financial frameworks (GFR, DAP, GeM portal, tendering processes, grant/milestone-based funding structures)
Demonstrated experience owning budgets, P&L, or business finance for a unit/vertical
Excellent written communication skills-proven ability to draft formal documentation, proposals, and correspondence for government audiences
Experience working on bids, RFIs/RFPs, and proposal documentation.
Candidate Acumen:
CA/CMA/MBA Finance with strong knowledge of GFR, DAP, GeM and government procurement processes, and proven experience managing financial aspects of government-funded projects, grants, RFPs/RFIs, and milestone-based contracts.
