About The Role

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of account management or sales experience, ideally in the youth sports or sports technology segment. This role will report to the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Programs and is available to work remotely or from our Minneapolis Office. Players Health is a distributed workforce that offers a flexible, remote and/or hybrid work environment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our expanding and evolving organization. The perfect fit for this role is someone who is highly organized, is customer centric and is eager to put in the hard work required to execute against our Mission and Vision. This role would require you to take initiative to retain large Enterprise customers and further consult and upsell all products and services across the company. You will exhibit a professional maturity and strong sense of resilience and ownership. Additionally, you will partner with various departments and stakeholders in the organization to help showcase the suite of Players Health tools and services and consult on how to solve customer pain points. Role comes with a salary commensurate with the experience (ranging between 55,000 - 70,000 annually) and includes a sales incentive plan upon meeting sales goals and targets.

Responsibilities (are Inclusive Of But Not Limited To)

  • Establish relationships with clients and partner with team members to educate customers about the Players Health solution suite, including risk management and Athlete Safety products and services.
  • Work directly with customers via telephone and email to describe products and/or services to identify new sales opportunities and product fit
  • Managing and supporting downstream sales opportunities as well as upselling
  • Owning inbound leads and focusing on customer requirements and timelines
  • Telling a cohesive and compelling story to build value and provide a “Why”
  • Follow-through on all commitments to customers ensuring a successful internal transition throughout their onboarding experience post sale
  • Creating retention strategies and managing client expectations and timelines around retention and renewal
  • Working cohesively with sales program adjacent functions including product, mission delivery, marketing, service, brokerage
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of the youth/amateur sports landscape
  • Providing clients and prospects with excellent service through accuracy, responsiveness and positive communication
  • Own your results with unwavering personal daily effort standards focusing on goals, skills & career growth

  • Identify areas for continuous improvement of processes to increase operational excellence

  • Building and maximizing the use of Players Health tools with Enterprise customers

  • Some travel might be required

Minimum Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of sales experience
  • 4+ years experience in customer facing role
  • Strong emotional intelligence skills.
  • Demonstrates curiosity, enthusiasm, and a growth mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to balance competing priorities between sales and servicing of clients


Desired Characteristics

  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or other sales engagement tools.

  • Ability to travel occasionally for team events, collaboration, engagement, conferences, or customer visits.
  • Must have a dedicated safe and secure remote work environment.
  • Must have the ability to work and be productive in a remote work environment.
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and ability to work autonomously.
  • Proactive communicator in all communication methods, including email (Outlook), verbal (in-person & phone), instant messaging (Slack & Teams)
  • Willingness and ability to attend virtual meetings with camera on – we respect that there are times when employees may need to turn their camera off. By regularly using cameras, we form connections and get to know each other, as well as promote positive and respectful interactions among colleagues.
  • Located in or willing to work in Central or Eastern Time Zone
  • Must be 18 or older.
