Mold Maintenance Technician
3rd Shift

SUMMARY:
Coordinate the upkeep, continuous improvement and repair of all molds through the training, assigning of jobs to Mold Maintenance Techs, and tracking of all mold maintenance work orders.
Provide for a positive, safe working environment by requiring Mold Maintenance personnel to maintain a clean, organized work area. Provide input to other departments concerning molding capabilities and concerns for new products, product modifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Possess good mechanical aptitude and basic hand tool experience
2. Be able to weld steel, stainless steel and aluminum molds
3. Be competent in the use of hand and power tools in the refinishing and repair of molds.
4. Possess the basic tools, physical skills and discipline to use specific prescribed methods and procedures
5. Understands the importance of accurate, legible documentation and follows prescribed methods and procedures during work. This documentation may be in printed or electronic format

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Six Months to One year of welding experience
  • Prefer one to three years related manufacturing experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Must be able to read, speak and write English

REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or electronic form
  • Ability to read and interpret basic documents, blue prints, safety rules and other correspondence.
  • Ability to count and use precision measuring equipment

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using basic math skills.
  • Associate must be able to complete a welding test in either steel or aluminum to qualify for the position. This test uses written instructions, requires measuring skills and requires a demonstration of good workmanship.

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT:
Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the attendance policy stated in the company’s employee handbook. Must be available and willing to work overtime hours as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Must be available and willing to work such weekends and/or holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
