Position Overview
The CNC Programmer/Operator will create programs for CNC routing and will do woodworking for custom play elements, as well as create and affix wooden bases to play pieces and prepare items for fiberglass. This job will also perform hands-on work, building custom products from wood, utilizing saws, CNC machine and other tools.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Examines and builds to the specifications of the customer's order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
  • Program and operate the CNC routers.
  • Build crates, base platforms, rule signs and other elements to specifications.
  • Apply paint to completed sculpts.
  • Examines and programs the CNC router machines to the specifications of the customer's order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
  • Program and operate the CNC routers.
  • Make simple repairs, if required, by using a handheld air or electric grinder.
  • Support (hands on as necessary) in production to the specifications of the customer's order using drawings, blueprints and routing instructions to determine the characteristics of the finished item.
  • Use, maintain and clean saws, blades, sanders, spray guns, knives, and other equipment as required.
  • Maintain records of labor time and materials used, and record appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area; observe and implement proper safety practices.
  • Attend cross-department meetings to collaborate with design and engineering on detail drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Education or GED
  • Ability to program and operate CNC machines.
  • Ability to use CAD/CAM software (ArtCam preferred).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • A strong understanding and grasp of cutting, sanding, and patterning is required.
  • Significant experience and proficiency with hand held cutting tools and table saws is required.
  • Ability to understand production drawings, build to specifications, understand and apply safety standards and procedures.
  • A working knowledge of AUTOCAD 2008 or higher, Adobe products which include Illustrator, and Photoshop strongly preferred.

CAD/CAM Software, NetSuite, BaseCamp, CNC machine, Sanders, Hand Tools, Pneumatic Power Tools, Spray Guns, Band Saw, Knives, Electric Power Tools, Forklift, etc.

  • Carrying, pushing or pulling parts to area.
  • Lifting and bending frequently.
  • Steel toed shoes are required at all times when in production area.
  • Safety Glasses are required at all times when in production area.
  • Hearing protection is required only in specified areas.

Position Location:
Position is onsite Monday through Friday and not remote eligible. Only under special circumstance(s) will the person be allowed to work remotely and with express written consent of senior leadership.

Compensation:
Compensation for this position will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications, aligning with industry standards. The salary range for Englewood, CO is also based upon geographical market standards for the industry and position in those areas.

There is a possibility of a bonus(es) based on individual performance and merit to be paid at the sole discretion of the company, but bonus(es) are not guaranteed unless outlined in writing in the offer letter extended to the candidate selected for the position.
