Project Manager

The Project Manager will possess an elevated skill set and is a go-to for projects of advanced complexity or requiring intricate attention to detail. The position’s purpose is to provide support in all phases of large and complex projects by completing proposals, work with cross functional teams in varied locations and vendors to submit project/bid requirements on time, organize each project and monitor project schedules, and complete jobs on time and within budget.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage large projects (est. $300k +) by completing, managing, driving, and closing out projects from sales handover to completion.
• Produce, update, monitor, and manage project schedule and budget visible to leadership
• Prepare, process, and log project submittals and documents
• Coordinate work within company departments as well as subcontractors
• Prepare and submit budget, for progress, and cost tracking reports
• Review and negotiate revisions, change orders, or additions to contractual agreements with subcontractors and clients
• Select and oversee subcontractors to complete specific pieces of the project
• Ensure project profitability
• Manage multiple projects at a time over potentially overlapping schedules
• Represent the company in a professional and engaging manner
• Communicate effectively inside and outside our organization so orders are correct, on time, and in budget
• Operate with a high degree of professionalism, precision, commitment, urgency, and accountability
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by taking a pro-active approach to continuing education and lifelong learning.

Qualifications, Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Must have demonstrated experience defined as, at minimum 2-5 years in commercial construction, interior designed and/or themed environments or similar through project management.
• Working knowledge of construction or indoor furnished environments and ability to handle multiple factions of the project manager role at the highest level.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of CRM tools (Netsuite) is preferred.
• Must have strong writing; interpersonal skills; and problem-solving skills.
• Prior project management experience (large and complex projects) desired
• Experience in commercial or decoratively themed environments is a plus
• Working knowledge of building regulations, requirements is a plus
• Ability to multi-task, delegate, listen, make decisions, and communicate
• Communicate oral and written information accurately, concisely, and appropriate to target audience
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and within deadline
• Estimated travel is less than 10% including air travel and overnight travel.
• This is not a remote position. Position is in office.
