Paint Line Operator
1st Shift

Department: Paint
Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor

SUMMARY:
Position assists in organizing and meeting daily production objectives. Also mentors other employees on processes and practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ability to hang, wrap and remove metal parts on paint line.
2. Read and understand blue prints, labels, and written instructions.
3. Demonstrate the basic use of manufacturing tools.
5. Proficient skill in using computer systems, including Syteline and Tracker systems.
6. Inspection of parts to meet quality standards before hanging, wrapping and packaging parts.
7. Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
8. Assist in the reduction of scrap and no charges by insisting the right part is the right color with the correct label.
9. Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
10. Effective communication skills with co-workers, leaders and vendors.
11. Follow daily production reporting procedures by adhering to the schedule.
12. Must keep area neat and clean in accordance with 6S leadership and standards/goals.
13. Adhere and comply with all company safety requirements.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Prefer one to three years related manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form
  • Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence.
  • Ability to count and measure equipment
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using basic math skills.
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the attendance policy stated in the company’s employee handbook.
