Pod People is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Account Executive to join our Business Development team. This person will be responsible for both inbound and outbound sales calls, crafting compelling proposals, and handling the contracting process. The AE will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying and qualifying potential leads, nurturing and maintaining relationships, and ensuring a smooth transition from prospect to customer.

Ideal candidates will be highly organized, adaptable, proactive and resourceful, with previous experience in up-leveling an existing sales process. This role will work closely with our Chief Revenue Officer and Business Development team to develop and maintain strong relationships with leads and clients, as well as facilitate cross-departmental processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Inbound and Outbound Sales Calls:

  • Prospecting and lead generation
  • Handle incoming sales inquiries and effectively communicate our services, value prop, and pricing to potential customers

Proposal Development

  • Craft persuasive proposals based on customer needs/preferences
  • Collaborate with marketing team to ensure proposals align with company goals & messaging
  • Customize proposals to address specific customer pain points and demonstrate the value proposition

Contracting

  • Manage contract negotiations, guiding customers through the contracting process, answering questions and addressing concerns

CRM Utilization + Process Improvement

  • Utilize HubSpot (CRM) to maintain up-to-date customer records
  • Track and report sales activities, provide regular updates to the leadership team
  • Leverage CRM data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in the sales process
  • Explore and implement new tools that could improve our sales processes

Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture relationships with potential and existing customers
  • Work closely with Production/Marketing teams post-sale to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Gather feedback from customers to inform product/service enhancements and improvements

Minimum Qualifications and Job Experience

  • 3+ years of proven experience and success in a sales development or similar role
  • Great organizational skills with an eye for detail
  • Ambitious, resourceful and self-directed (Pod People is a fully remote team)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional client-management skills with a proven track record of networking, building, and maintaining strong relationships
  • Great time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Acutely analytical with a problem-solving, think-on-your-feet attitude

Software Skills

  • Google Suite (Calendar, Slides, etc.)
  • HubSpot or similar, PandaDoc or similar, Airtable a plus

Compensation and Benefits

This is a remote, full-time role with a 1:1 salary-commission split. Pod People covers 70% of premiums on our Healthcare package, offers unlimited PTO, access to a 401K, and a 3-day weekend each month.
