We power people's progress.

At Preply, we’re all about creating life-changing learning experiences. We help people discover the magic of the perfect tutor, craft a personalized learning journey, and stay motivated to keep growing. Our approach is human-led, tech-enabled and it’s creating real impact. So far, 90,000 tutors have delivered over 20 million lessons to learners in more than 175 countries. Every Preply lesson sparks change, fuels ambition, and drives progress that matters.

Meet the team!

Preply is growing quickly. Once a scrappy startup, we’re now firmly in scale-up mode — continuously evolving how we work to match our growth. The Preply product and technology teams are now substantially larger than they were a few years ago, and therefore it is critical to us that, as we scale, we maintain the pace and dynamism that has brought so much success for Preply over the past years.

For this reason we are hiring our first Product Operations Manager to help us take our Product team to the next level, to ensure the ways we work across our product organisation are first class, and to make sure we’re able to manage the tricky balance of execution, collaboration, speed, quality, focus, communication, and much more. This is a key role in the product team and will report directly to the Chief Product Officer.

This role provides unrivalled access to the day-to-day of how Preply runs its product and technology organisation. You’ll be at the heart of our planning and decision-making, and will support the team at every level. Your closest partner will be the CPO and VP-level product leaders, and you’ll work closely day-to-day with Product Managers, Designers, Engineering leaders and others.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be responsible for the operational wiring of the Product Team, and ensuring this continues to evolve to meet our changing needs. Responsibilities will be varied, and will change over time, but will include the ones below.

  • Running the day-to-day operational rhythm of the team, including Product Reviews, Roadmap Reviews and similar
  • Running our quarterly and annual product planning cycles, overseeing cross-team alignment, to ensure every team is pulling in the same direction
  • Running the product team’s OKR setting and tracking, ensuring teams have the right goals and stay on track to achieve them
  • Supporting hiring and team planning, ensuring we have the right people in the right spots, and the right teams in place to deliver our strategy
  • Leading initiatives as required, driving with strategic analysis, impact assessment, and recommending paths forward
  • Identifying constant areas of improvement within the product organisation, getting agreement for changes, and bringing them to life

The role would perfectly suit someone who is equally passionate about delivering amazing product experiences, and building effective organisations that work collaboratively and at high velocity. You’ll get to work at the centre of a world-class product organisation, while also evolving it to be ready for the next phase of growth.

What you need to succeed:

Candidates for this role may come for a range of backgrounds, but ideally someone with the skills listed below is likely to be successful in this role.

  • Exceptional planning and organisation skills: you’ll be running a lot of things in parallel and you’ll need to be excited about that!
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills: you’ll manage a lot of the time through influence, this means you need to have strong empathy for others in the organisation, and ability to get things done without direct control
  • Highly numerate, very comfortable with data: it will be critical to analyse organisational effectiveness, team impact, and take an active role in strategic impact planning
  • Product mindset: you need to be familiar with how empowered and scaled agile product organisations work
  • Excellent bias-to-action: you will be a key part of keeping team momentum, moving forward. You’ll need to work out how to get things done with minimal support, and keeping momentum high

Why you’ll love it at Preply:

  • An open, collaborative, dynamic and diverse culture;
  • A generous monthly allowance for lessons on Preply.com, Learning & Development budget and time off for your self-development;
  • A competitive financial package with equity, leave allowance and health insurance;

  • Access to free mental health support platforms;
  • Access to Gympass-partnered wellness and gym centers throughout Spain to promote and support well-being and physical health;
  • The opportunity to unlock the potential of learners and tutors through language learning and teaching in 175 countries (and counting!).
