The People team is responsible for the entire lifecycle of the employee journey at Preply. This includes everything from onboarding and offboarding, compliance, total rewards and benefits, HR systems and analytics, as well as key People projects related to employee engagement, career development and frameworks, amongst others.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior People Operations Specialist (Ukraine) to join our People Operations team. In this role, you will support core People Operations processes for our employees in Ukraine, ensuring accurate administration, smooth employee lifecycle support, and compliance with local requirements. You will work closely with HR, Legal, Finance, and external partners to maintain high-quality operational support and a positive employee experience.
What you’ll do:
People Operations (Ukraine)
Support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding, contract changes) in line with Ukrainian labor law
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (personnel files, leave balances, sick leave, military documentation, etc.)
Provide day-to-day HR administrative support to employees in Ukraine
Ensure compliance with local labor regulations and internal policies
Coordinate with Legal, Finance, and global People Ops teams to ensure correct documentation and processes
Act as a first point of contact for employee queries related to HR operations
Relocation Support (Admin)
Provide administrative support to the relocation team (documentation, tracking, data entry)
Assist in coordinating relocation cases (e.g., collecting documents, following up with employees and vendors)
Maintain relocation trackers and ensure data accuracy
Support communication between employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders
Process & Data Management
Ensure data accuracy across HR systems
Support audits and documentation requests
Identify and suggest improvements to HR processes and workflows
What you need to succeed:
1+ years of experience in People Operations / HR Administration (preferably in Ukraine)
Good understanding of Ukrainian labor law basics
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Comfortable working with HR systems and documentation
Strong communication skills and service-oriented mindset
Fluent in Ukrainian and English
Nice to have:
Experience supporting relocation or mobility processes
Familiarity with HR tools (e.g., Deel, HRIS platforms)
Experience working in an international or remote environment
