Required Experience:
· 7-10 Years Experience
· Understanding of how to design for an environment with large equipment and tooling
· Have created workflows and SOP’s for manufacturing environments
· Experience leading the Design, Fabrication, and Installation of new tools, fixtures and equipment
· Strong Knowledge of Industrial Safety Standards and requirements
· Experience working with automation equipment, troubleshooting PLC’s
· Skilled problem-solver
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Advanced skills in SolidWorks, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Power Point
· Bachelor's Degree in related fields of Engineering or Manufacturing
· Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic startup
· Great attitude and team player!
· PREFERRED SKILLS
· Experience working with crumb rubber, or tire processing
· Experience with compression molding manufacturing or concrete batch plants
· Solidworks PDM
Role Responsibilities:
· Responsible for developing requirements for new capital equipment and tooling
· Drive and implement safety and OSHA standards throughout the facility
· Creating RFQ’s, working with vendors, and coordinating with Operations for installation of capital equipment
· Coordinate with automation vendors on new and existing projects
· Base level troubleshooting of automation systems, PLC’s, and electronics
· Responsible for production process development, ergonomic workstation design, work cell layout, and balancing labor at stations.
· Provide mechanical engineering expertise to lead design and development of new tooling and fixtures to aid production
· Create 3D models, and 2D engineering drawings, in SolidWorks
· Coordinate with the Engineering Team, and external fabricators and vendors to manufacture custom tooling and equipment
· Work with Operations to plan new facilities and floor layouts
· Support Quality systems, and drive root cause for non-conformance into actionable production improvements
· Identify issues in the production floor based on worker feedback, and independent assessment. Develop these findings into actionable solutions.
· Responsible for problem solving and resolution of issues as directed or required. Supports Team during crisis management
· Drive lean concepts (5S, Kanban, TPM etc.) throughout the organization
· Implement process improvements, including automation, to improve overall efficiencies
Role Reporting:
· The Manufacturing Engineering role will be reporting to the Director of Engineering
Compensation:
· Pay scale varies on experience ($90k - $115k)
