You will be a part of the technology team reporting to the Director of Engineering. This individual is responsible for assisting in the development, testing and design of Project Canary software solutions. A successful candidate will be creative, attentive to detail, willing and eager to learn new technologies, and not afraid to jump in anywhere and help push things forward.

  • Maintain, support, and extend our existing web-based products and services
  • Work closely with our engineering team to design, develop and deliver new applications and features for both internal and external users
  • Build and optimize RESTful API’s for web applications
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and contribute to the development of automated testing procedures and systems
  • Optimize websites and applications to improve performance, user experience, and usability across a wide range of browsers, devices, and screen sizes
  • Ability to work at the office or a hybrid model (At least 3 days in the office each week)

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, formal training through a bootcamp (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Experience building web application backend APIs (.NET Core)
  • Excellent understanding of React and experience building a SPA to completion
  • Understanding of authentication/authorization using OAuth and JWT/bearer tokens
  • Working knowledge of Git for source/version control
  • Experience with Entity Framework or another modern ORM
  • Experience working with SQL and relational databases
  • General understanding of cloud architecture

Nice to haves:

  • 2+ Years working experience building modern web applications
  • Experience designing web applications with a focus on user experience
  • Experience using C# or another statically typed language
  • Experience using .NET core and Entity Framework
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure and understanding of distributed computing and systems
  • Dev ops experience
  • Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annual base
  • Hybrid work environment - Must come into the office at least 3 days a week
