Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Engineering (VP of Engineering) to lead and scale our engineering team. This role demands a strategic leader who can blend technical expertise with leadership capabilities to drive the development and delivery of innovative fintech solutions. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in shaping Raenest's technology roadmap and ensuring alignment with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive engineering strategy aligned with Raenest’s long-term business objectives.
• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
• Product Development: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable fintech products with a focus on performance, security, and user experience.
• Technical Excellence: Ensure best practices in software development, system architecture, DevOps, and infrastructure management.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Design, Compliance, and Operations teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Risk Management: Identify technology risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and data security.
• Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in development workflows, deployment processes, and technology stack.
• Vendor and Partner Management: Manage relationships with third-party technology vendors, cloud service providers, and banking partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a fintech or high-growth technology company.
• Proven experience in building scalable, secure, and resilient financial systems.
• Strong experience in cross-border payment solutions and international money transfer systems.
• Deep knowledge of ledger systems and financial data integrity.
• Demonstrated success in building and managing multi-currency platforms.
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), microservices architecture, and DevOps practices.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in fintech.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated success in leading distributed and diverse engineering teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with core banking systems, ledger management, and payment infrastructure.
• Familiarity with modern programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, and frameworks like NestJS and Next.js.
• Prior experience working with international teams and global product deployment.
• Background in scaling technology operations for rapidly growing startups.
