We’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Sales team. You will be responsible for discovering & identifying new sales leads and partnering with the sales team to develop those leads into qualified opportunities. Using your unique personality and grit, you will outbound targeted leads and qualify inbound leads to increase the pipeline of potential Rasa customers. You will be reporting to the Senior Director, Business Development & Operations.

Full-time - 100% remote - Location: Continental USA

We’re a startup, so you’ll have to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and doing whatever is required to support our mission. As a BDR, you'll make an impact on your team by:

  • Representing the Rasa brand and providing an exceptional experience for our prospects.

  • Researching accounts, identifying leads, and tenaciously qualifying new opportunities.

  • Consistently maintaining a high volume of activity including outbound calls, emails, & social.

  • Accurately tracking interactions and pipeline generation information in Salesforce.

  • Evangelizing Rasa’s platform, mission, and vision.

  • Collaborating with sales, marketing, and demand generation to optimize the sales funnel and build our sales pipeline efficiently.

  • Consistently exceeding quota targets.


  • Thrive on change while remaining highly organized, optimistic, and coachable.

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Sincere customer empathy and genuinely care about solving others’ problems.

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • A positive attitude and an incredible work ethic.

Nice to have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in lead generation, sales, marketing or customer-facing roles.

  • Knowledge, experience and/or passion of open source, machine learning, and AI assistants.

  • Experience successfully interacting with executives in Fortune 500 companies.

  • Experience with prospecting tools like Salesforce and Linkedin.

This role sits within our Customer Office organization and Business Development & Operations department. You will join a current team of BDRs and work with your manager, demand generation, and account executives to generate a pipeline of qualified opportunities from target accounts and inbound leads.
