Mission
Activities
- Organize and plan activities, projects, studies, and resources (human, budgetary, technical, informational) for production.
- Organize and lead the design of robotic/mechatronic products: understand mechanical, electronic, and software constraints and challenges, and act as the interface between different disciplines to advance the project.
- Manage the engineering file describing the entire product development cycle (DHF and DMR): handle changes in specifications and their traceability, subsystem design, subsystem verification, and system validation.
- Challenge internal engineering teams, suppliers, and integrators in a design-to-cost approach.
- Draft, manage, and optimize the assembly, integration, and test (V&V) flowchart of the product and associated documentation (definition and design of tooling, updating AIT procedures, optimizing operator times).
- Manage suppliers (challenge costs through competitive bidding) and product integrator activities (operator training, control of operation reports, management of non-conformities, etc.).
- Participate in medical device quality monitoring (documentary QMS, production QMS, and material vigilance).
- Monitor logistics of units in production.
- Prepare, lead, and coordinate audits and inspections.
- Participate to a lesser extent in the design of new products and testing.
Skills
- Managing and leading engineering teams, particularly in a startup or fast-growing company environment.
- Managing suppliers/integrators in manufacturing a mechanical or electronic product.
- Managing an industrial file to manufacture an electromechanical product.
- Design of mechatronic products: understanding mechanical, electronic, and software constraints and challenges; and acting as the interface between different disciplines.
- Applying a medical QMS for FDA and CE clearances.
- Exhaustive knowledge of regulatory & quality requirements applicable to medical devices.
- Understanding business operations, strategy, and growth. Able to align the technical team’s efforts with the broader business goals and vision.
- Exceptional ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong writing skills and rigorous file construction.
- Strong written and oral English skills.
- Strong organizational skills and deadline management.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
