We're seeking a strategic, visionary, and hands-on Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to join our executive team, reporting directly to our CEO and working closely with our President.
As CMO, you will champion our mission to ensure every patient receives world-class healthcare, and drive growth through clinical leadership, advocacy, and strategic vision. You will act as the leading clinical voice and ambassador, elevating Regard’s presence across health systems, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
You are an experienced healthcare executive with deep operational knowledge of health systems, a passion for transformative healthcare technology, and a strong ability to compellingly communicate our vision. You will play a pivotal role as an executive sponsor for client relationships, thought leader at industry events, and strategic clinical advisor to our product, marketing, and sales teams, ensuring clinical alignment across all company initiatives.

Regard is a Proactive Documentation platform that advances how care is delivered by reviewing all patient data in the EHR to recommend diagnoses, surface clinical evidence, and draft care plans. Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Regard's primary clinical ambassador, actively engaging in keynotes, industry conferences, client meetings, and thought leadership opportunities to drive brand awareness and credibility
  • Support Sales and Marketing teams by providing clinical insights, executive-level engagement, and strategic account leadership, directly contributing to revenue growth and client satisfaction
  • Provide visionary guidance and medical oversight to inform strategic decisions across the organization, ensuring alignment between clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and product development
  • Act as executive sponsor for high-value accounts, building trusted relationships with health system leaders (CMO, CMIO, CFO, VP Revenue Cycle), and frontline clinical users
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams, ensuring clinical accuracy, compelling messaging, and cohesive positioning
  • Regularly visit client sites, attend strategic meetings, and support customer success to ensure Regard’s solutions effectively meet clinical and operational needs
  • Maintain an active and engaging presence across digital and social media platforms, sharing thought leadership and championing Regard’s transformative impact on healthcare
  • In partnership with Regard’s CMIO, provide strategic clinical leadership across all aspects of product development, innovation, and market strategy

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • 3+ years in a VP-level or higher executive role within health systems or healthcare technology companies (CMO, CMIO, CQO roles preferred)
  • Demonstrated success as an operator and clinical leader within health systems or health-tech startups, with a strong track record in clinical leadership, product advocacy, and executive account sponsorship
  • Strong executive presence and ability to engage effectively with senior healthcare executives, clinicians, and industry thought leaders
  • Experience driving growth and influencing healthcare purchasing decisions at executive levels within hospitals and health systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly collaborative, curious, and action-oriented; committed to continuous improvement, effective team building, and delivering tangible results
  • Deep passion about healthcare innovation and alignment with Regard’s mission to leverage technology to improve patient outcomes and clinician experiences
  • Prior experience as an active user or customer advocate of Regard’s technology, able to authentically evangelize its value
  • Active thought leadership demonstrated through public speaking engagements, published content, or a strong professional network presence
  • Experience working with healthcare AI, clinical decision support systems, or health IT platforms is strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of EHR systems and clinical workflows
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards (HIPAA, FDA guidelines for AI/CDS tools)

Hybrid Work | Location | Work Authorization

  • For this role, Regard is currently only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship
  • This role may be required to travel 25-50%
  • Strong preference for candidates within the New York City metro area
  • If not in the NYC metro area, willing to consider candidate on the East Coast
  • If in NYC, our expectation for this role is to be in the office 3 days per week
  • We will provide relocation assistance to anyone who does not already reside in the NYC metro area

  • Additionally, hybrid employees have the flexibility to work from locations outside of their home office from up to 6 weeks per year
