Role Overview
We’re looking for a Sales and Partnerships Lead who is passionate about driving growth in a fast-paced tech startup and excited to close high-impact deals with banks, fintechs, and other financial service providers.
This is a sales-first role — you’ll lead outbound and inbound sales efforts, negotiate commercial deals, and develop strategic partnerships. While experience in legal, compliance, or financial services is an advantage, it is not a requirement. We’re looking for a driven professional with excellent communication and relationship-building skills who wants to be at the frontlines of growing one of Africa’s most innovative RegTech platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and engage prospective customers across banks, fintechs, and microfinance institutions
- Handle inbound sales inquiries and qualify high-potential leads
- Deliver compelling product demos and lead commercial discussions with C-level executives and decision-makers
- Develop customized proposals, pricing models, and negotiate contract terms
- Manage and update sales pipelines using CRM tools
- Collaborate closely with product, legal, and customer success teams to align with customer needs
Partnerships & Market Expansion
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders in the financial ecosystem
- Identify and close partnership opportunities with law firms, consulting firms, and channel partners
- Represent Regfyl at industry events, roundtables, and ecosystem meetups
Commercial Deal Structuring
- Lead the negotiation and finalization of commercial contracts
- Structure deals that drive revenue growth while balancing customer needs
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts support business objectives
You’re a Great Fit If You:
- Have experience in sales, partnerships, business development, or a strong interest in developing a career in this space
- Are confident leading sales conversations and closing deals with senior decision-makers
- Are highly organized, self-driven, and able to manage a sales pipeline from lead generation to close
- Are curious about the fintech, compliance, or RegTech space (prior experience in legal, compliance, or financial services is a bonus, not a requirement)
Nice to Have (but Not Required):
- Experience selling B2B SaaS or enterprise software
- Prior exposure to financial institutions, compliance teams, or regulators
- Background in law, regulatory affairs, or risk management
