Who we are
RentCheck is a Techstars-backed Property Technology company based out of New Orleans, Louisiana. We build software that serves Renters, Landlords, and Property Managers by providing an easy to use experience for documenting rental properties and by becoming the trusted third-party for security deposit administration. We are an early stage company looking to transform the $100 billion residential real estate industry. Who you are
We're looking for an individual interested in all aspects of launching a business, including cultivating and managing executive-level relationships; working closely with RentCheck’s executive team, product, and engineering to define our product roadmap; and thinking creatively to get to market quickly. Though this role is about generating, validating, and closing new opportunities.

What you will do

  • Close new business
  • Manage accounts from initial adoption to full expansion
  • Exercise strategic thinking about value proposition, pricing, and messaging.
  • Running the sales process, from pipeline development to initial engagement to pricing discussions to final contract. At any given time, you will be working opportunities in various stages of the sales process.
  • This is a unique hunt and kill position so you need to be able to create leads from your own prospecting efforts.
  • You will have an SDR team to support you and will be responsible for assisting the leadership with SDR oversight.
  • Results-driven and able to achieve/exceed monthly/quarterly/annual sales quotas.
  • Knowing our tech. You’ll explain the unique features and customer benefits of RentCheck's technical capabilities, speaking with confidence, knowledge, and credibility about what we bring to our customers.

What you have

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, partnerships, consulting, financial services, and/or strategic business development roles. SAAS sales experience given extra consideration.
  • Comfort with the unknown: with an ever-changing product roadmap, we need to manage the expectations of both internal and external stakeholders as we build a world-class platform.
  • An innate ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously, especially against aggressive timelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver on the customer’s needs.
  • Superior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, email, and presentation).
  • A positive and resourceful attitude with a willingness to work independently to make things happen.
  • Enthusiasm and eagerness to help an early-stage company grow; ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Well organized, go-getter mentality; energized by challenges and is relentless in approach.
  • Experience working with email service providers, transactional sends, managing email campaigns, and reporting results.
  • Especially comfortable on the phone and maintains control of calls of varying sizes and with different levels at the client organization.
  • Experience building a pipeline and qualifying and identifying deals that you can close.
  • Results-driven and able to achieve/exceed monthly/quarterly/annual sales quotas.
