Manufacturing Engineer

RepOne Strength

RepOne Strength

Jacksonville, FL, USA
Posted on Friday, June 30, 2023

About RepOne:

We're building the weight room of the future. Strength and Conditioning Coaches want to implement highly individualized strength training routines but they have too many athletes, and the sensors currently available are either too expensive, too hard to use, or not accurate enough. Our IP is in highly accurate, inexpensive position sensing, and advanced automation software powered by data. Our technical challenges include building a highly vertical small batch manufacturing cell from scratch, interfacing with hardware engineers for manufacturing optimization, designing assembly instructions, owning production KPI's, outsourcing injection molding, coordinating with PCBA fabs.

About the position:

We are a mission driven company that's obsessed with democratizing strength, and making the best training methods available to everybody. An interest in fitness is a big plus.

The initial need is to grow our manufacturing capacity 2x in the next 6-12 months. That means re-inventing our processes, re-designing parts for faster assembly and lower cost, reducing time spent on repairs, optimizing our 3D print farm, etc. You will be interfacing with prototyping to optimize the design for manufacturing, assembly, and testing, with iteration on a semi-monthly basis. Longer term needs are design and implementation of new product versions, integrating our technology with other vendors, and evaluating new sensing platforms.

You'll be a very early employee and will have a rare level of ownership and influence across multiple products. You should be able to work in both technical and non-technical leadership positions, and communicate your thoughts and ideas very well.

Experience in mass manufactured consumer electronics is preferred. You've either worked in a startup or a similarly fast paced environment and have experience picking up a project and improving upon existing work. You should have an understanding of every stage of manufacturing, from procurement to fulfillment.

Experience you should have:

Manufacturing automation software, MRP/ERP software, Lean/6S/ISO familiarity, electronics prototyping, CAD design, some C/C++.

Minimum 4 year degree in related field, 3 years professional experience.
