Reportwell is a fast-growing SaaS company building smart, AI-powered tools for K–12 schools, districts, and the organizations that support them. We help education leaders stay compliant, reduce risk, and simplify reporting so they can focus on students.

We’re launching a new AI product that helps K–12 school and district leaders understand, track, and act on changes in education law and policy—transforming legal complexity into actionable guidance. This tool will empower educational leaders to stay ahead of compliance issues and make confident, timely decisions for their communities.

Role Overview

We’re hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive the early-stage growth of this groundbreaking product. You’ll focus on top-of-funnel sales activities—prospecting, qualifying leads, and booking meetings with education leaders, compliance officers, and legal consultants.

You’ll work directly with the CEO and Director of New Markets, helping shape the go-to-market strategy and laying the foundation for a scalable, repeatable sales process.

Responsibilities
  • Buildout early sales systems for a new software startup
  • Conduct outbound prospecting via email, phone, and LinkedIn to generate qualified leads
  • Research target accounts in the K–12 ecosystem: schools, districts, law firms, consultants
  • Qualify inbound leads and schedule high-quality discovery calls and demos
  • Maintain and update prospecting activities in a CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
  • Collaborate with marketing to test and optimize outreach campaigns
  • Deliver weekly reports on lead gen metrics, conversion rates, and pipeline growth
  • Provide feedback from the field to inform messaging and positioning
  • Help iterate sales playbooks, email cadences, and outreach strategies
Qualifications
  • 2–3 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or direct sales role
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and follow-through skills
  • Highly self-motivated and goal-driven with a growth mindset
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Interest in K–12 education, education law, or edtech is a strong plus
  • Experience with CRM tools and outbound sales tech (e.g., Pipedrive, Outreach, HubSpot) is helpful
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $60,000
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $75,000 (Y1)
  • Supplemental Pay:
