Founders Associate (m/f/d)

AI Agents to Bridge the Gap between Engineering & Purchasing to reduce manufacturing waste

My co-founder Ian and I combine over 15 years of industry experience, working with companies like SEW-Eurodrive, Terex, Bosch and Carl Zeiss. We co-founded Resourcly, a Techstars-backed, industrial tech start-up to help industrial manufacturers streamline complex portfolios to improve EBIT while preventing and reducing idle inventory from being scrapped.
With our solution we want to solve industry problems that we have tried to address for the last decade in the manufacturing companies we worked for, but that have so far been out of reach. With new technology and AI, that can finally happen.
Complex processes and products, lack of engineering talent and massive labour costs as well as a lack of intelligent automation have remained the industry’s most pressing challenge. With LLMs and agents, we finally have the tools to solve this.
Our vision is that future purchasing and engineering processes will be orchestrated and run by an AI workforce - ensuring reliable and cost-efficient procurement and flow of goods in an uncertain and complicated world with finite resources.
We're already live with global manufacturing leaders in Europe
Backed by one of Europe's top early-stage funds
Growing fast and hiring exceptional talent to join early
Our goal is to build a small, but excellent team, therefore we are looking for a Founders Associate. If you are excited to work in a very early-stage environment alongside the founders, stellar data scientists and engineers, using AI at the product core to solve meaningful problems - please reach out.

The Role

The mission of the Founder’s Associate is to serve as a strategic partner and operational multiplier to Resourcly’s founders, especially the CEO. This role provides high-leverage support across strategic planning, investor communication, cross-functional operations, and company-building initiatives. You'll work at the intersection of product, growth, culture, and capital—solving high-impact problems and enabling the team to execute more effectively as Resourcly scales.
This is a rare opportunity for a high-performing generalist to gain deep exposure to all facets of an early-stage startup in the climate-tech and industrial innovation space. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, communicates crisply, and takes pride in turning chaos into clarity.

Key Responsibilities

Founder Leverage & Strategic Enablement
Act as a thought partner and right hand to the CEO and founding team
Prepare internal and external materials (sales decks, investor updates, board packs, fundraising docs)
Draft and refine strategic communications (memos, investor narratives, internal updates)
Cross-Functional Operations
Track, prioritize, and unblock key company-level initiatives (e.g., hiring OKRs, AI rollouts, GTM experiments)
Run and optimize team rituals (weekly leadership meetings, roadmap check-ins, all-hands)
Build and maintain lightweight internal processes (e.g., hiring funnel hygiene, budget tracking)
Special Projects & Internal Strategy
Lead ad-hoc projects across domains (e.g., regulatory scans, new market pilots, strategic partnerships)
Support internal adoption of tools like Notion, CRM, analytics platforms, and AI integrations
Drive planning and synthesis of quarterly offsites or strategy sessions
People & Culture
Help embed mission, values, and culture across hiring, onboarding, and internal rituals
Support hiring for key roles (JD writing, candidate communications, process coordination)
Run internal feedback loops, lightweight performance reviews, and pulse surveys
Investor & Stakeholder Communication
Coordinate and deliver investor updates, KPI dashboards, and strategic storytelling
Translate technical, product, or market updates into compelling communications
Support due diligence for grants, accelerators, and capital rounds

Profile

2–5 years experience in startup, VC, consulting, or founder-track roles
Exceptional written and verbal communication; fast, clear, and thoughtful
Strong project management and prioritization skills
Comfortable working across ambiguity, context-switching, and self-directed execution
Aligned with Resourcly’s mission and curious about circular economy, industrial systems, and decarbonisation

Benefits

High-leverage role reporting directly to the CEO
Direct exposure to product, fundraising, strategy, and investor communication
Flexible work setup (Mannheim with Hybrid, 3 days a week in the office)
Opportunity to shape company-wide operations, processes, and cultural rhythms
Pathway to future leadership, operations or strategy

How to Apply

Submit your CV (in English) and a short note outlining why you're excited by Resourcly and this role. Bonus points if you’ve worked with messy data, industrial logic, or users who live in spreadsheets.

Note from Helena, CEO of Resourcly

What drives me personally is the deep belief that Germany and Europe’s long-term prosperity and sovereignty depend on a strong, independent economic engine. To secure that future, we need more AI product-first European champions on the global stage - building not just great software, but foundational systems that change how industries operate toda.
My mission is to build one of the world’s biggest automation companies for manufacturing - from Europe. While our headquarters will remain European, our ambition is global. From day one, we benchmark ourselves against the very best in the world and design our product for international scale.
But there’s something deeper that fuels this: the transition to a circular economy. I’ve seen firsthand how complexity in supply chains leads to waste, and how intransparency drives inefficiency - and, inevitably, more waste. In a world of shrinking resources and rising expectations, this is not just an environmental problem - it's a business and economic imperative.
At Resourcly, we’re building the infrastructure to turn unused resources into opportunities, to match supply and demand across silos, and to help manufacturers become more resilient, efficient, and circular - without needing to overhaul their entire systems.
If you share this drive - to make global impact through technology, and to build a more circular, sovereign industrial base for Europe - I’d love to hear from you.
