Senior Full Stack Engineer (m/f/d)

AI Agents to Bridge the Gap between Engineering & Purchasing to reduce manufacturing waste

My co-founder Ian and I combine over 15 years of industry experience, working with companies like SEW-Eurodrive, Terex, Bosch and Carl Zeiss. We co-founded Resourcly, a Project A-backed, industrial tech start-up to help industrial manufacturers streamline complex portfolios to improve EBIT while preventing and reducing idle inventory from being scrapped.
With our solution, we want to solve industry problems that we have tried to address for the last decade in the manufacturing companies we worked for, but that have so far been out of reach. With new technology and AI, that can finally happen.
Complex processes and products, lack of engineering talent and massive labour costs as well as a lack of intelligent automation have remained the industry's most pressing challenge. With LLMs and agents, we finally have the tools to solve this.
Our vision is that future purchasing and engineering processes will be orchestrated and run by an AI workforce - ensuring reliable and cost-efficient procurement and flow of goods in an uncertain and complicated world with finite resources.
We're already live with global manufacturing leaders in Europe
Backed by one of Europe's top early-stage funds (Project A)
Growing fast and hiring exceptional talent to join early
Our goal is to build a small, but excellent team, therefore we are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer. If you are excited to work in a very early-stage environment alongside the founding team, owning backend systems and product features end-to-end - please reach out.

The Role

As our Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will own backend infrastructure, APIs, and integrations that power Resourcly's intelligent platform - building reliable, secure, and performant systems that connect AI-driven capabilities with real industrial workflows. This includes integrations with the ERP and PLM systems our customers run their operations on.
You will own the full stack end-to-end including the frontend where needed - since engineers here build what they ship, without a handoff to a separate team. As part of a small, high-caliber engineering team, you will have real influence over technical direction and work closely with the founders on product decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build production-grade APIs: Serve as the technical backbone of the platform, handling complex data flows between users, AI systems, and external integrations - with clean architecture, proper error handling, and solid documentation
Build and maintain enterprise integrations: Develop and own connectors to ERP and PLM systems used by manufacturing customers, handling authentication, data transformation, and reliability at scale
Own database architecture and data management: Design schemas, tune queries, implement caching strategies, and manage data migrations - balancing transactional and analytical workloads with security and compliance requirements
Manage platform infrastructure and observability: Own CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, monitoring, and incident response - ensuring the platform stays reliable as it scales
Contribute to the frontend end-to-end: Build and improve UI features as part of delivering tasks fully; engineers own the full stack here and are expected to ship working user experiences, not just APIs

Who You Are

Take full ownership: From design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in production - you see work as done when it runs reliably, not when it's merged
Bring startup mindset with high agency: Comfortable with ambiguity, willing to wear multiple hats and take responsibility beyond a defined scope
Embody "fail fast" mentality: Quick prototyping to validate approaches, but know when to shift into production-quality implementation
Enjoy customer interaction: Willing to engage with customers directly to understand their integration needs and debug issues
Low ego, company-first mindset: Prioritize impact over using the newest or coolest technology
Proactive communicator: Transparently share progress, blockers, and trade-offs with team and leadership
Data-driven: Make decisions based on metrics, user feedback, and measurable outcomes

Your Capabilities

You have 5-7 years in software engineering with a backend focus: Production experience with Python and Go, understanding of async programming and concurrency patterns
You can design scalable systems: Experience with API design, caching, database optimization, and building for high traffic and strict reliability requirements
You have deep database knowledge: Strong SQL skills including query optimization, indexing, and schema design; experience with search systems and familiarity with vector and graph databases
You can manage infrastructure: Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
You prioritize security: Understanding of OAuth2, JWT, OWASP guidelines, and secure coding practices; experience with GDPR compliance and multi-tenant data isolation
You can contribute to the frontend: Comfortable working with React and TypeScript to deliver full-stack features when needed
You have 5-7 years of experience in software engineering with focus on backend development
You are fluent in English (German fluency as a strong bonus)
Nice to have: Experience in manufacturing or supply chain; ERP/PLM integration experience; LLM and AI integration; startup or founding background; active open-source contributions

Location & Logistics

Mannheim / Berlin (preferably Mannheim, with flexibility for focused work)
Start: As soon as possible
Compensation: Top of market (We're constrained by bandwidth, not demand - great time to negotiate)

How to Apply

Please send your CV together with a brief introduction to Marco Ohde (marco.extern@resourcly.com) and we will get back to you!

Note from Helena, CEO of Resourcly

What drives me personally is the deep belief that Germany and Europe's long-term prosperity and sovereignty depend on a strong, independent economic engine. To secure that future, we need more AI product-first European champions on the global stage - building not just great software, but foundational systems that change how industries operate today.
My mission is to build one of the world's biggest automation companies for manufacturing - from Europe. While our headquarters will remain European, our ambition is global. From day one, we benchmark ourselves against the very best in the world and design our product for international scale.
But there's something deeper that fuels this: the transition to a circular economy. I've seen firsthand how complexity in supply chains leads to waste, and how intransparency drives inefficiency - and, inevitably, more waste. In a world of shrinking resources and rising expectations, this is not just an environmental problem - it's a business and economic imperative.
At Resourcly, we're building the infrastructure to turn unused resources into opportunities, to match supply and demand across silos, and to help manufacturers become more resilient, efficient, and circular - without needing to overhaul their entire systems.
If you share this drive - to make global impact through technology, and to build a more circular, sovereign industrial base for Europe - we would love to hear from you.
