PAY GRADE: $20.00

PRIMARY PURPOSE: This is a temporary summer position to support distribution, sorting, inventory, moving, and labeling of instructional materials orders at various district warehouse and campus locations.
Qualifications
Minimum Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Ability to lift and move 45 pounds without assistance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage in physical activity for sustained periods of time based on work conditions listed below.
- Perform routine tasks of sorting, inventorying, and labeling and organizing of instructional materials.
- Operate box cutters and dollies/hand trucks safely.
- Perform the recording of inventory information into spreadsheets.
- Flexibility to report to various district sites throughout the project.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Digital and Learning Resources.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
Tools/Equipment Used: box cutter, tape roller, and dolly/hand truck
Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive removal of books from boxes and applying of barcode labels to textbooks, reboxing, and stacking boxes.
Lifting: Lifting and carrying (up to 45 pounds); will lift and move textbooks and boxes of textbooks.
Environment: District warehouse and campus locations
Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control in a fast-paced environment. Perform as a contributing member of a team.
Safety: Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidents immediately to the supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.
