Plant Process Engineer

A Taste Of Your Responsibilities
- Execute bench‑top and pilot plant tests to validate formulations and processes.
- Analyze trial data and deliver clear process recommendations.
- Support commercial scale‑ups and troubleshooting in manufacturing plants.
- Prepare and present technical results to cross‑functional partners collaborating with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other partners.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and support Intellectual Property development.
- Use technical knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems to improve equipment reliability.
- Develop employee capabilities related to systems, standards, and technical understanding.
- Foster a culture of technological transformation through the use and optimization of digital tools.
- Analyze data across Key Performance Indicators to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.
- Lead problem‑solving activities with small groups using structured methodologies.
- Manage small projects within the Conagra Performance System.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Food, Biological or related Engineering field.
- Three or more years of related technical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with process documentation (P&IDs, mass/energy balances, control strategies, specifications).
- Experience with processing equipment such as mixers, heat exchangers, homogenizers, cooling/freezing systems, sanitary or aseptic fillers, and CIP systems.
- Understanding of Design of Experiment principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as MS Office Suite, PowerBI, and PowerApps.
- Strong communication, prioritization, and structured problem‑solving skills.
- Experience collaborating with vendors and external partners.
Compensation
Pay Range:$63,000-$93,000
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
