Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will manage plant health and safety programs to ensure a safe and accident‑free work environment. You will lead the development and implementation of a facility‑wide safety culture through technical expertise, program development, and strong partnerships across the plant. You will implement key safety concepts that provide a clear roadmap toward zero injuries and world‑class performance while supporting leaders and employees through training, analysis, and continuous improvement.

A Taste Of Your Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of plant health and safety programs.
  • Promote an accident‑free work environment by developing programs that train, monitor, and support a safe workplace.
  • Plan and deliver training programs for managers and employees on workplace safety practices.
  • Support accident investigations and prepare accident reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct inspections and audits within the plant and at other facilities to identify existing or potential hazards and determine corrective or preventive actions.
  • Facilitate the Central Safety Committee process through active participation in subcommittees and by serving as a subject matter resource.
  • Administer initial Workers’ Compensation functions.
  • Guide the plant toward compliance with state, federal, and local safety regulations.
  • Determine and direct required compliance training to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and company training requirements.
  • Analyze accident data to identify trends and preventable accident types, recommending improvement actions.


Ingredients Required For Your Success

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of five years of industrial safety experience.
  • Experience supporting or managing ammonia refrigeration systems and Process Safety Management programs, including compliance activities, risk management, and regulatory documentation.
  • Experience leading teams and influencing leaders across multiple functions.
  • Experience applying Occupational Safety and Health Administration, state, and federal regulations to manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience writing regulatory reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Proven skill defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.

This role will require you to be in our manufacturing facilities. When visiting these sites, the physical requirements below may apply:

You may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand-eye coordination.

You may be required to lift or carry materials that can vary in weight and size.

This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.

Compensation

Pay Range:$107,000-$156,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
