Reporting to a Finance Manager, you will provide oversight, support, and development for the Corporate Controllers Group Distribution and Systems Accounting team. You will lead and support projects with distribution, systems, and inventory accounting impact while ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent financial reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. You will partner closely with cross‑functional teams and Information Technology to support system design, testing, and process improvements, while serving as a central point of contact for accounting issues within the team.

A Taste Of Your Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and support for distribution, systems, and inventory accounting activities within the Corporate Controllers Group.
  • Assist with preparation of period financial statements and reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and corporate accounting policies.
  • Participate in period‑end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and review of financial results for assigned areas.
  • Review and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and perform ongoing reviews to identify and resolve unusual items.
  • Maintain effective controls over accounting transactions, including documentation of Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.
  • Perform general accounting activities within enterprise financial systems and reporting platforms.
  • Analyze financial results and provide clear, timely communication of issues, risks, and trends to management and business partners.
  • Serve as a liaison with Information Technology on initiatives involving distribution, systems, and inventory accounting, including testing and system enhancements.
  • Partner with Logistics Finance, Freight Pay, Accounts Payable, and Supply Chain Finance teams to support business needs.
  • Support and guide accounting staff to develop technical, systems, inventory accounting, and professional skills.
  • Contribute to performance review processes and support development planning for team members.
  • Participate in special projects such as mergers and acquisitions support, policy updates, system upgrades, physical inventory support, and costing research.
  • Evaluate existing processes and procedures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls.


Ingredients Required For Your Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proven record of working effectively in fast‑paced, dynamic environments with changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated success building strong relationships and partnerships with internal stakeholders.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally to complete projects or resolve complex business challenges.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, including use of analytics and insights to develop effective solutions.

Compensation

Pay Range:$81,000-$118,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
