Reporting to the Manager of Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory Affairs, you will implement and support programs within the Packaging Supplier Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory Affairs group. You will support the execution of processes and procedures and lead daily activities related to food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while partnering cross‑functionally to strengthen food safety culture and supplier performance.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze data to identify trends and issues, providing input into decisions related to product safety and quality within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Provide technical and decision‑making support, including data analysis, to manage quality and food safety situations and issues.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to promote Conagra’s food safety culture.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to assure food safety and quality of company products.
  • Design, implement, and maintain processes and procedures within assigned technical areas of responsibility.
  • Participate on cross‑functional teams to assure effective implementation, adherence to quality assurance initiatives, and continuous improvement of packaging suppliers.
  • Perform assigned technical tasks and duties associated with department processes and procedures.
  • Interface with internal manufacturing locations to support and maintain effective relationships with packaging material suppliers.
  • Interface with appropriate functions to support regulatory compliance, food safety, and quality of company products.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of programs and processes and drive continuous improvement within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Collaborate outside of the Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory Affairs organization to drive efficiencies and effectiveness related to food safety and quality.


Ingredients Required for Your Success

  • Bachelor of Science degree in food science, biological science, chemical science, or a related field; ten or more years of relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant industry experience with a Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Knowledge of food safety principles, food manufacturing processes, and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to food packaging, including the Food Safety Modernization Act, Global Food Safety Initiative standards, Food and Drug Administration regulations, and United States Department of Agriculture requirements.
  • Strong troubleshooting, data analysis, and investigative skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing.
  • Demonstrated strength in setting a positive example for others.
  • Travel may be up to 75% depending on business needs.

You may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand‑eye coordination.

You may be required to lift or carry materials that can vary in weight and size.

This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.

Compensation

Pay Range:$82,000-$120,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
