In every themed chat room, our ML powered chatbot personalities facilitate interaction between two users (1:1 conversation, no group chat). Users chat anonymously until they wish to add each other as friends, after which user profiles can be revealed - all with the aim to provide meaning to online interactions.
Launched Mandarin version June 2017 in Taiwan, acquired over 320,000 users, 75,000 MAU (20% DAU/MAU) and 50% D1 retention, with no marketing. Now expanding to English speaking markets with Singapore as a first stop. User acquisition and experience are core to our DNA, and we believe we can scale our high engagement (50% D1 retention, 50 minutes per user per day) globally on a much larger scale with appropriate mentorship.
