Rooit is on a mission to disrupt the way young people communicate and make friends. We are committed to empowering users to find confidants and quality companionship through conversation. In every themed chat room, our ML powered chatbot personalities facilitate interaction between two users (1:1 conversation, no group chat). Users chat anonymously until they wish to add each other as friends, after which user profiles can be revealed - all with the aim to provide meaning to online interactions. Launched Mandarin version June 2017 in Taiwan, acquired over 320,000 users, 75,000 MAU (20% DAU/MAU) and 50% D1 retention, with no marketing. Now expanding to English speaking markets with Singapore as a first stop. User acquisition and experience are core to our DNA, and we believe we can scale our high engagement (50% D1 retention, 50 minutes per user per day) globally on a much larger scale with appropriate mentorship.
