Position Summary:

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and managing HR practices and nurturing a positive working environment to ensure a high-performance culture. This role encompasses the full spectrum of HR responsibilities, including but not limited to talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, HR compliance, benefits plan administration, policies, and procedures. The Manager must be hands-on and adept at operating as a department of one, comfortable rolling up their sleeves, and experienced at scaling operations as the organization grows.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Provide input and recommendations on workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices. Regularly review and update policies to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, including job posting, resume screening, conducting interviews, and extending job offers. Work closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and implement effective talent acquisition strategies.
  • Champion the onboarding process by ensuring that it's high-quality and up to date, and provide clarity and connection for employees so their roles serve the overall business vision.
  • Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and equitable compensation practices. Stay updated on industry trends and benchmarking data to make recommendations for enhancements and improvements.
  • Handle employee relations and workplace issues (i.e., complaints, disciplinary actions, investigations, disputes, terminations) and guide the development of corrective action plans to implement effective solutions and promote a healthy work environment.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to collect, analyze, and present HR data and identifying trends.
  • Act as a bridge between English-speaking and Spanish-speaking employees, ensuring effective communication and understanding of HR-related matters.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar HR leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience with HR metrics, HR systems and databases
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, preferably as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or Generalist.
  • HR certification from SHRM and/or HRCI is preferred.
