Full-Time: Office hours from 7:45 am to 4: 15 p.m. Onsite Monday through Friday
Salary range: $60, 000 to $80,000 per year (salary commensurate with experience)
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of a production facility, ensuring that goods are produced efficiently, safely, on time, and within quality standards. They are responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing staff, maintaining equipment, and implementing process improvements.
- Production Oversight: Planning, scheduling, and directing daily production activities to meet targets.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensuring adherence to company policies, and quality standards.
- Staff Management: Hiring, training, supervising, and motivating production floor staff.
- Process Improvement: Implementing Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and other continuous improvement methodologies to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinating with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is operating correctly and performing preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshooting: Analyzing and resolving production, machinery, or quality issues.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field is often required.
- Experience: Typically, 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing, with a strong preference for prior management or supervisory roles.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with specific manufacturing processes, machinery, and blueprints.
- Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
