You know Indonesia in a way most people don't. Not from a highlight reel — from actually being there, and knowing where to look. You've tracked down the chef who takes guests foraging at dawn before turning what they find into something extraordinary. You've stayed in places that aren't on any booking platform yet, because you heard about them from the right person. You vetted every wildlife experience before you booked it. You have strong opinions about what makes a travel experience genuinely good — and you know how to turn that taste into a business. DO NOT apply if your idea of an ideal holiday is chilling at the hotel, going shopping or hanging out on the beach.
At Seek Sophie, we're building the world's most trusted platform for meaningful, local-led travel across Asia. We're hiring a Growth & Partnerships Manager to own Indonesia — with full P&L ownership, new business targets, and the creative latitude to actually shape what this market looks like on the platform.
This is a commercial role. You'll have targets, you'll own the full sales cycle, and you'll be accountable for growth. But the reason the role works is because the best candidate for it is someone who can tell a genuinely great experience from a mediocre one dressed up in good photography — and who cares about the difference.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be growing Seek Sophie's Indonesia supply by finding and closing the experiences worth putting on the platform:
- Identifying new destinations within Indonesia that are commercially viable and genuinely aligned with what Seek Sophie travellers care about
- Spotting experiences that are cool, local-led, and not already on every other platform — including wildlife experiences that actually hold up to scrutiny
- Assessing commercial viability: market demand, pricing, and scalability
- Developing go-to-market strategy for new destinations
- Owning the full sales cycle from sourcing and outreach through to pitching, negotiation, and onboarding
- Negotiating commission structures and terms confidently
- Working with partners to launch compelling, conversion-ready listings
- Hitting monthly and quarterly acquisition targets
- Monitoring growth and driving revenue improvements
- Maintaining strong relationships with partners while holding performance standards
- Travelling to meet partners and vet their experiences firsthand
- Finding creative ways to drive growth beyond the established playbook
Who We're Looking For
- 5–8 years in business development, sales, or partnerships — with a track record of closing deals and hitting measurable targets
- 1–2 years growing or opening new markets, ideally in an online marketplace context
- Comfortable negotiating pricing and commercial terms; understands numbers and unit economics
- Execution-oriented: moves quickly, follows through, high sense of urgency
- Strong taste and judgement — you can tell which experiences will resonate with Seek Sophie travellers because you are one. You seek out the chefs doing something nobody else is doing with local ingredients, research whether the elephant sanctuary you're visiting is the real thing, and have found accommodation that stopped you in your tracks — not because it was expensive, but because someone thought hard about it
- Extensive travel experience within Indonesia and beyond
- Warm, curious, and genuinely good at building trust with people
- Purpose-driven: you want your work to matter
- Able to travel independently for up to several weeks at a time
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, professional proficiency in English
- Based in Bali with legal authorisation to work in Indonesia
If This Is You, We'd Love to Hear:
- A short intro about yourself and why you are interested in this role
- Your experience opening up or growing a new market
- An Indonesian host or experience that should be on Seek Sophie (please send a link to their website or IG) — why it's genuinely off the beaten path, and why it would also sell
Compensation
- IDR 25–40M/month (depending on experience)
- Unlimited leave
- Health insurance stipend
