Salary: IDR 30-40M/month (depending on experience), health insurance stipend

Seek Sophie is a Singapore-based travel marketplace for handpicked travel experiences across Asia.

We’re a mission-driven company. We believe travel should benefit local communities, protect nature and wildlife, and help travellers experience places more thoughtfully - not just tick off tourist attractions.

Who you are

You look at a map of Indonesia and see white space — valleys, islands, national parks, towns that nobody's listed yet and that travellers would love. You know what makes an experience worth booking before you've read the reviews, and you can explain exactly why a customer scrolling past a listing didn't click.

You've worked in a marketplace, a booking platform, or somewhere else where you had to grow both sides of a relationship — not just sign partners, but actually help them get better. You know what good product looks like from both ends: the operator building it and the person deciding whether to pay for it.

You're comfortable with numbers. You don't need to be told to check the sales data — you already have a tab open.

What you'll do

Market strategy

  • Map out which destinations and niches to go after next within Indonesia — not just what's obvious, but what fits Seek Sophie's taste and would actually sell
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of leads that meet both the brand bar and the revenue bar

Partnerships & BD

  • Own the full cycle from prospecting to signed and live — outreach, pitch, negotiation on terms and pricing, onboarding
  • Build relationships that make partners trust your advice, not just your commission rate
  • Coach partners on product quality: pricing, listing quality, customer experience gaps

Commercial ownership

  • Own the revenue number for your market — understand the levers and make a plan to hit the number
  • Track sales performance at the partner level and the market level; identify what's dragging and act on it

Customer lens

  • Audit listings the way a customer would — spot why someone wouldn't buy, and fix it
  • Feed customer feedback and complaints back into how you manage and develop partners

What we're looking for

  • 5–8 years in partnerships, BD, or account management in a marketplace, OTA, or e-commerce platform
  • Track record of owning commercial targets, not just contributing to them
  • Experience in growing a market/destination from scratch
  • Strong instinct for quality: you can walk into an experience and tell us in one paragraph why it does or doesn't belong on Seek Sophie
  • Extensive travel experience within Indonesia and beyond
  • Warm, curious, and genuinely good at building trust with people
  • Purpose-driven: you want your work to matter
  • Able to travel independently for up to several weeks at a time
  • Fluent in Bahasa, professional proficiency in English
  • Based in Bangkok with legal authorisation to work in Indonesia

What this isn't

This isn't a role where you close deals and hand them off. If you've spent most of your career in program delivery, operations, or project management without a revenue target attached, this probably isn't the right fit.
