Summary:
The Reconciliation Accountant is primarily responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the Company’s partner bank owned accounts by analyzing, recording, and reconciling transactions in the bank ledger. The role serves as a critical checkpoint to ensure Self is processing payments and payouts accurately and timely.
What you will do:
- Utilize internal company reports to match and reconcile activity daily within the partner bank owned accounts. Investigate and resolve discrepancies (if any).
- Ensure daily internal processes are being completed timely and accurately by internal stakeholders.
- Function as a point of contact for stakeholders in the organization and at partner banks. ● Support and help to develop processes to improve and ultimately automate daily reconciliations.
- Support and help to improve the control environment.
- Other accounting duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Understanding of GL structure and accounting control requirements.
- Ability and willingness to work cross functionally with multiple teams in the organization.
- Willingness to follow processes without exceptions in a highly confidential manner. ● Attention to detail and exceptional time management.
- Basic understanding of databases and comfort working with high volume data. ● SQL knowledge is a huge plus.
● Inquisitive nature and desire for continuous improvement.
