We seek a Strategic Outbound Account Executive with experience in platform selling in an outbound sales model. We expect you to target accounts, create a qualified pipeline, define success criteria and mutual action plans for evaluations, and close strategic deals. We value a tenacious work ethic and being relentlessly resourceful.

What you will do

  • Own your book of business with an entrepreneurial mindset and leverage Sendbird’s GTM teams to ensure quota attainment.
  • Identify our next biggest customers.
  • Use proven methodologies to gain traction and ultimately win significant new logos.
  • Work with Sales Development Representatives to target and prospect new accounts.
  • Use your extensive relationships and networking skills to win new accounts.
  • Be an expert in the Sendbird value proposition and your prospect’s business.
  • Create custom presentations that will speak to your prospect's needs and highlight the Sendbird value proposition.
  • Represent Sendbird at industry events, host customers, and deliver speaking engagements as necessary to promote the Sendbird brand and message.
  • Report and forecast accurately: deliver internal business reviews
  • Provide feedback internally on how we can improve and be comfortable suggesting change based on your experience.

What you bring to the table

  • A successful background in Strategic Outbound sales
  • Experience in identifying significant, new, and compelling opportunities within large and/or fast-growing organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to close large complex sales opportunities
  • Able to orchestrate significant opportunities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication
  • Understanding of SDK/API business and/or a quick learner in B2B technology product space

Even better if you offer

  • Experience in vertical industries (financial services, healthcare, on-demand, e-commerce, etc.)
  • Established network with large digital first organizations and/or System Integrators.
  • Formal SaaS sales training in an extremely competitive sales environment
  • Experience selling cloud-based and/or middle-ware solutions
  • Experience selling to enterprise-level developers and product teams
  • Experience in vertical industries (healthcare, digital transformation, on-demand, e-commerce, fintech, etc.)

Pay Transparency

For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location. To determine our ranges, we utilize a variety of compensation data benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role is $275,000 - $315,000. This range is specific to the San Francisco Bay market. We consider several factors when making final compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs which may cause your specific offer to vary from the amount listed above.

Flexible Work Policy

We offer a flexible work schedule at Sendbird. We also value collaboration and relationship building. With those values in mind, we require all employees within an hour's commute range of their local office to gather with their team in the office twice per week as a minimum. Some of our roles require a more frequent in-office schedule. Please work with your manager to understand the office time requirements for your position.
