About Your Team: Sensei’s agile Finance team is a core partner in building and maintaining the financial health of our fast-growing organization. How Can You Help? We’re building and scaling the financial foundation that powers our entire company, and we are looking for a finance leader to drive it forward. As the Finance Manager at Sensei, you’ll shape the systems and strategies that drive Sensei’s growth, ensuring our financial operations are not only accurate and compliant, but also strategic and future-ready.

As the Finance Manager at Sensei, you will oversee and continuously optimize our core financial processes, from reporting and forecasting to analysis and controls. You’ll deliver clear, actionable insights that guide high-stakes decisions, partner cross-functionally to support ambitious business goals, and help build a scalable foundation for Sensei’s next stage of growth.

Daily at Sensei, you will:

• Ensuring compliance with required accounting practices.
• Financial planning, analysis and reporting for the company.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial documents.
• Improving and refining financial operations of a fast-growing organization.
• Producing month end, accounts reconciliations, expenses and accruals and management accounts.
• Creating, maintaining and administering company budgets.
• Financial administration of the company.
• Payroll, pension and employees travel & expense reimbursement.
• Conduct reconciliation of the company's bank accounts and credit card activities.
• Preparing invoices in accordance with company sales.
• Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function: including reviewing, coding, and administering payments.
• Preparing payments file each week for supplier goods and services.

You Will Bring to the Table:

• At last 4 years’ of proven operational accounting and financial management experience from previous roles.
• Strong experience with FP&A, financial reporting, accounting principles and tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of cash flow, budgeting, forecasting and modelling.
• Comfortable working with senior leadership and external Accountants.
• Maintain strong team working and interpersonal skills, with the ability to be flexible and adaptable within the environment of a small and changing team.
• Be a problem solver – identify issues & propose solutions.
• Be a methodical process-driven person, with passion for accuracy and excellence.
• Be a proactive, self-motivated individual capable of working on their own initiative in a constantly changing and pressurised environment and fast-developing company.
• Start up/Scale up experience strongly preferred.
• Have worked alone or within a very small team, able to be autonomous and hit the ground running.
• Able to identify improvement opportunities, suggest improvements and action change.
• Strong attention to detail.

After Six Months, Success Means:

• You own and run Sensei’s financial operations with accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
• Monthly closes and financial reports are timely, reliable, and support strategic decision-making.
• Budgets and forecasts are in place, providing clear visibility to leadership.
• You’ve improved core finance processes, making them scalable for Sensei’s rapid growth.
