About Sensei: Sensei builds the technology that powers autonomous and AI-enhanced retail. Our platform digitizes groceries and convenience stores using computer vision, real-time data, and smart digital tools that optimize operations and make shopping frictionless.

We work with leading retailers across Europe, reshaping the way store teams operate and how customers shop. Our products span dashboards, operational apps, store management tools, and real-time monitoring systems.

How Can You Help? We’re looking for a UX/UI Product Designer who combines strong product design skills with on-the-ground user understanding. This hybrid role blends clean, modern UI, practical UX thinking, and real-world field research to shape the tools used by retailers, store staff, and operational teams.

You don’t need to be a senior designer — but you do need to be autonomous, curious, and proactive, comfortable jumping between designing polished interfaces, observing real users in the field, and refining workflows until they feel effortless. If you enjoy vibecoding tools (Framer, Webflow, Locofy, Figma Dev Mode) to speed up delivery and reduce handoff friction, even better.

You'll join a fast-moving, product-led team building the next generation of Sensei’s retailer platform, with your work reaching real stores quickly and making a visible impact.

Daily at Sensei, you will:

Design

  • Deliver clear, intuitive UI and UX for retailer-facing digital products.
  • Create flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished screens that solve real user problems.
  • Update and deliver a full design system, ensuring cohesion across products.
  • Use modern vibecoding tools to accelerate prototyping, testing, and design-to-dev workflows.

User Research & Field Insights

  • Visit stores to observe store teams, test features, and understand real operational workflows.
  • Run interviews, quick usability tests, and feedback loops with users and internal champions.
  • Identify pain points and opportunities through hands-on research.
  • Validate early concepts before engineering commits to development.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Operations teams.
  • Present your work clearly, explaining the “why” behind your decisions.
  • Ensure smooth collaboration and efficient handoff into development.

You Will Bring to the Table:

  • 2–4 years of experience in UX/UI or Product Design.
  • Strong visual design skills: clean UI, typography, spacing, and component thinking.
  • Solid understanding of UX fundamentals (flows, hierarchy, information architecture).
  • Experience designing SaaS products (cloud-based or multi-tenant preferred).
  • Experience in B2B environments—especially workflow-heavy or operational tools.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, startup environment is a great plus.
  • Retail, grocery, convenience, or supply chain experience is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable conducting user research in the field (store visits, interviews, testing).
  • Proficiency in Figma; interest in vibecoding and rapid prototyping tools.
  • Autonomy: ability to take a problem from exploration to polished solution.
  • Bonus: experience maintaining or contributing to design systems.

After 6 Months, You’ll Have…

  • Run recurring cycles of actionable research directly in stores.
  • Designed and shipped features used daily by store staff and ops teams.
  • Improved usability in key workflows, reducing friction for operational users.
  • Contributed to the evolution of our design system.
  • Built strong relationships across Product, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Become a trusted bridge between user needs and product decisions.
