The opportunity

As the Commercial Director, Litigation at Shieldpay, based in London, you will play a pivotal role in positioning Shieldpay as the top-of-mind choice for leading law firms managing their litigation cases. Your expertise in legal services and account-based selling will drive our ambition to be the default payment rails for litigation-related disbursements.

What you’ll be doing

1. Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

• Develop and implement strategies to ensure Shieldpay is the preferred partner for litigation payment solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within leading Legal Services firms in the UK, overseeing the entire lifecycle of each engagement, including implementation and delivery.
• Lead account-based selling initiatives, targeting high-value clients in the legal sector, and develop sales plans to achieve and surpass targets.
• Work closely with various departments including Product, Marketing, Technology, Operations, and Business Development to ensure a cohesive approach to client solutions.
• Coordinate with department heads to leverage expertise and resources effectively.

2. Thought Leadership and Ambassadorship:

• Act as a thought leader in the legal payments industry, contributing insights that shape industry trends.
  
• Represent Shieldpay as an ambassador within the industry, engaging with peers, media, and industry groups.
• Foster relationships with key industry players to enhance Shieldpay's reputation and influence.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums.

3. Internal Expertise and Leadership:

• Serve as the go-to person internally for all matters related to litigation.
• Provide guidance and insights to various teams, ensuring internal stakeholders are informed about the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the litigation sector.
• Play a key role in shaping internal strategies and policies related to litigation services.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

What we're looking for in you

• Proven experience in legal services, ideally with a focus on litigation.
• Able to demonstrable a track-record of success in account-based selling and client relationship management.
• Strong understanding of the legal industry’s dynamics and challenges.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
• Leadership qualities with a track record of managing and influencing cross-functional teams.
