You will be responsible for conducting vital sanctions and transaction monitoring, and supporting the operational team with the onboarding and ongoing monitoring of complex financial crime cases.

  • Sanctions Screening: Conduct screening of payees against sanctions lists to identify potential matches, escalate risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Transaction Monitoring: Monitor and review transactional activity to detect unusual or suspicious patterns, escalate potential risks, and support compliance with anti-financial crime regulations.

  • Due Diligence and onboarding: Conduct due diligence checks on customers, clients, and third-party entities to assess their risk profiles and ensure they meet the company's risk appetite and compliance standards.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilise data analytics tools to identify patterns and trends related to financial crime risks. Generate regular reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.

  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor the effectiveness of financial crime prevention measures and suggest improvements to enhance the Shieldpay's ability to combat financial crime.

What we're looking for in you

  • You identify even the smallest errors in data and documentation that others may overlook.

  • You want to build on your existing onboarding and KYC skills with increasing complexity of deals, making it ideal for someone with a genuine interest in financial crime prevention and customer onboarding, and a proactive approach to learning regulatory requirements and strengthening controls.

  • Be proactive in acquiring knowledge, providing unwavering support, overcoming obstacles, and actively participating. Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, collaborate with your team, and leverage technology.
