About Sigma360

Sigma360 is an MIT-incubated, venture-backed, Series B AI-driven global data and analytics company that helps clients manage risk. We convert the world’s messy data into actionable insights for financial institutions, corporates, and governments—powering workflows like screening, investigations, and risk research.

We’re a collaborative, product-led team that values ownership, clarity, and pragmatic problem-solving.

Why this role matters

As Sigma360 scales its enterprise SaaS platform, quality must scale with it. Our customers rely on complex, auditable workflows that must behave correctly across roles, permissions, configurations, datasets, and edge cases.

This role owns application-level quality through a combination of strong QA automation and rigorous manual validation. You’ll partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure releases meet a high bar for correctness and reliability.

What you’ll do

You’ll own end-to-end validation of Sigma360’s application features, from requirements through release.

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to review requirements early, clarify acceptance criteria, and ensure features are testable and unambiguous
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test coverage for critical user paths, regression scenarios, and core enterprise workflows
  • Perform hands-on manual testing for complex scenarios, edge cases, and exploratory testing where automation is insufficient
  • Make deliberate decisions about what should be automated vs. manually validated, balancing confidence, cost, and speed
  • Execute release validation to confirm features meet documented requirements and expected behavior before production
  • Reproduce, document, and triage defects with clear steps, severity, and impact
  • Improve QA processes, tooling, and standards so quality scales as the product and team grow
  • Act as a quality advocate, helping define what “done” means in a fast-moving enterprise SaaS environment

Tech stack

  • Web application with a Golang backend
  • APIs supporting UI and customer integrations
  • Modern frontend framework (React-based)
  • Postgres and Neo4j as core data stores
  • CI/CD pipelines supporting automated testing

What we’re looking for

This role is for someone who has real experience testing enterprise SaaS applications and has personally built QA automation.

Required

  • 4+ years testing enterprise SaaS applications
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining QA automation for a production SaaS product
  • Experience designing test coverage and maintaining it as features and workflows evolve
  • Experience performing structured manual validation of complex, configuration-heavy workflows
  • Strong understanding of requirements, acceptance criteria, and how to validate them
  • Experience testing web applications and APIs
  • Ability to work closely with Product and Engineering to improve requirements and outcomes
  • Strong written communication (clear bug reports, test plans, and validation notes)
  • Comfort working autonomously in a remote environment
  • Ability to overlap at least 4 hours with NYC business hours (9am–5pm ET)

Nice to have

  • Experience with modern QA automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, pytest, or similar)
  • Experience testing enterprise features such as roles, permissions, audit trails, and configuration-driven behavior
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release gating
  • Experience with regulated, compliance-oriented, or risk-focused SaaS products
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) in a relevant field

What success looks like

  • Automated tests provide reliable regression coverage for core enterprise workflows
  • Manual testing consistently catches edge cases automation alone would miss
  • Requirements are clearer and more testable due to early QA involvement
  • Fewer defects escape to production, and releases ship with higher confidence
  • QA is viewed as a partner in delivery, not a final checkpoint

What we offer

  • Remote-first team with high autonomy and ownership
  • Competitive compensation and meaningful equity
  • Health, dental, vision, and other benefits (or local equivalent)
  • Generous time off and a culture that supports learning and growth
