What We'll Bring:

Mentor and coach members of the team to ensure everyone is working to, and improving on, high standards.

Work with Development Manager and Principal Test Engineers to contribute to the continuing improvement of the department

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Product team and business roles throughout the development lifecycle to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria for the evolving solution
• Help organise, specify and carry out Testing throughout the development lifecycle, both exploratory, scripted and automated using a variety of tools and techniques, and covering both functional and non-functional requirements
• Provide rapid feedback and information to the project team and business roles to allow appropriate corrections and decisions to be made. For example through defect raising, re-Testing, verbal feedback and test, code and requirement reviews
• Assist in the extensive, yet appropriate, automation of tests to deliver maximum repeatability and efficiency
• Prevent the creation of defects through collaboration and communication with product owner and scrum team members
• Adhere to department procedures and best practices, including Testing standards, Testing process and Agile project methodology
• Define Test Data to support test cases
• Participate in the active development of team members through coaching and mentoring to ensure team members are achieving the necessary standards and are continuing to improve
• Actively promote and champion Testing best practices and principles within the teams and seek feedback on the effectiveness and efficiencies of Testing with the goal of looking to improve on these
• Lead by example in terms of execution of Testing best practices, principles and professionalism

• Commercial experience of Testing software within an agile development lifecycle

• Experience of performance/load/security/usability Testing

• Experience of test automation techniques
• Experience of mentoring and inspiring people or teams to achieve improvements
• Experience of identifying and introducing best practices and standards within teams to help drive more effective Testing
• Experience of BDD techniques
• API/Web service Testing experience
