We are looking for a talented data engineer to join our team at TransUnion, you'll bring advanced knowledge and experience to integrate data and generate business insights. This role requires experiential development work on all aspects of big data engineering, data provisioning, modeling, performance tuning, and optimization. You’ll work closely with advisory and clients to translate the business/functional requirements into technical specifications that drive BI solutions to meet functional requirements. We'll look to your data engineering subject-matter expertise, and you will contribute to the development of new ideas and methods. You’ll also get to work on complicated, interesting problems where analysis of situations and data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. What You'll Bring:

· Experience with – Data Engineering and Bussiness Insights, writing complex SQLs, Unix shell scripting, GCP cloud services (Bigquery, GCS, Dataprocs, Infra, networking., but not limited to) (or) AWS cloud services (EC2,S3,Lambda,Redshift,Networking, infra , but not limited to), BI tools (any tool), GCP cloud knowledge is an advantage, deployment methods (CICD/Devops)

. Must have excellent communication skills to handle day to day meetings with external clients and lead the team in all aspects.

· Ability to communicate your vision, work in an Agile team, use your analytical skills to provide alternative solutions to technical problems.

We’d love to see:

· 8-10 years of experience working on Data Engineering space with hands-on in building, deploying, scheduling, and maintaining high performant & cost-effective data pipelines on cloud using any programming language/serverless functions, aligning to organization architecture. Ability to incorporate modular programming and implement reusability across the flows. Automate and innovate with the latest tool stack.

· Optimizing data flows, Redshift/Bigquery , RDS database and queries; Analyze existing data pipelines & transformations to understand business and enhance with customer requirements.

. Data governance, metadata driven transformations, Real time streaming experience.

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

Impact You'll Make:

· In the first 10 days – Candidate to complete knowledge transition on the project.

· Beyond 10 days – Candidate to take over the ownership of data portion in the project. Coordinate with advisory team on daily basis and effectively develop, deploy, and maintain the data pipelines to generate business insights, with proper communication within the team and external clients.
