About the Role:
You’ll be joining an established team of Product Owners lead by Claire Hawley. In this role, you will be responsible for Product Ownership on the Ab Initio transformation project working with Product Development and other key stakeholders to transform our legacy data loading solution to a new platform.
What You'll Bring:
Day to Day you will:
Provide clear ownership of product(s) and act as primary contact point across internal stakeholders
To ensure that the products and services provided by TransUnion UK are fit for purpose, in line with business objectives and within regulatory and legal environments
Ensure adherence to Product Development Lifecycle for all product developments
Creation of appropriate documentation (principally the PRD)
Ensure that accurate and comprehensive requirements are defined, produced and clearly communicated to all relevant parties at the appropriate level
Effective prioritisation of requirements backlog
Working with other Product Owners and Product Managers across your line of business and in other areas to ensure collaboration and maximise opportunities across TU UK
Work with key stakeholders to define a new operating model for the Ab Initio platform
Key Tasks & Accountabilities:
Product Ownership - Maintain a comprehensive product knowledge across all aspects of relevant product lines, handle queries and communication with stakeholders
Manage relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders
Ensure manage risks related to relevant product lines
Responsible for translating high level vision (provided by Product Managers) into a clear set of requirements
Creation, maintenance and documentation of these requirements
Prioritisation and ongoing management of product backlog (including ensuring coverage and completeness) aligned to Roadmap
Ensure adherence to Product Development Lifecycle for all Product Developments
Production of Product Requirements Document and elaboration to user stories
Definition of Sprint Goals and Define User Story Acceptance Criteria
Working with Delivery Teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of requirements via agreed Sprint Goals and adherence to agreed delivery schedule on Product Roadmaps
Deliver all necessary technical documentation for each product development
Create and maintain detailed product roadmaps
Assist with driving innovation in line with technological advances and market requirements
Responsible for implementing processes, changes and good practice fed through from the communities of practice
Essential Skills & Experience:
Experience of working in a regulated environment
Experience of working with agile development methods
Experience of product development in a software delivery or infrastructure environment
Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
Strong commercial acumen
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Ability to identify, manage and mitigate risks
Product knowledge and expertise
Disciplined with strong planning and organisation skills and the ability balance multiple conflicting priorities
Effective communication skills to influence a range of stakeholders
Analytical and strategic thinking and complex problem solving and prioritisation
Attention to detail
Coordinating and delivering change
