About SkySpecs

SkySpecs is simplifying renewable energy asset management by offering purpose-built technologies and services that help our customers deliver industry-leading productivity, efficiency, and returns. Every day we help our customers unlock the power of their data so they can make confident, informed decisions. Our team brings deep industry experience and a willingness to get our hands dirty to first understand and then solve customer problems on the ground. In 2022, SkySpecs launched an AI powered condition monitoring software platform for early detection of wind turbine mechanical failures. The platform uses live sensor data streams from vibration sensor systems and SCADA systems. The CMS business line has since seen tremendous growth, and now the ongoing ML/AI effort will need additional muscle - you!

What will I be getting myself into?

You will get the opportunity to build something new that bridges cutting-edge technology with industrial challenges that matter to society and the planet. We built the next-generation machine intelligence platform for wind turbine monitoring, and we are now looking for a talented data scientist to join our data science team.

As a Data Scientist, you will:

  • Develop and implement highly performant machine learning algorithms for wind turbine fault detection.
  • Have full ownership of your own projects and collaborate closely with other team members to integrate the developed algorithms with our back-end and front-end services.
  • Work with all aspects of a data science project including scoping, research, modeling, test and validation, implementation and documentation.
  • Get the chance to work with cutting edge machine learning and AI algorithms including deep learning. And yes we have the data to support it and you will do this on a daily basis! We don’t just talk about machine learning algorithms, we actually develop them!
  • Participate in cross-team collaboration and provide input to our front-end staff shaping our platform for our end customers.
