The Role
We are seeking an Associate Product Manager to join our Product Development team. This role is focused on developing new and managing existing software products in the SkySpecs product portfolio (to start, the Blade Asset Management product).
You will work closely with the rest of the Product team, Engineering team, and product users. This is a cross-functional role, where interaction with more teams - like Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Services - is expected.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for renewable energy, a desire to learn, and a knack for turning ambiguity into action. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a sustainable future while developing your product career in the growing wind and solar energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Shepard projects through the software development lifecycle - including user research, data analysis, designing prototypes, writing requirements, testing functionality, training users, and creating release materials
- Ongoing collection of product feedback, and triage and investigation into feedback for scoping and prioritization
- Data analysis, utilizing tools like DataBricks and Sisense
- Collaborate cross-functionality, like assisting Customer Success with product questions and feedback, Marketing with content creation, and Services Delivery with product implementation and adoption
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong critical thinking, time management, and project management abilities
- Proficiency in data analysis
- Excellent communicator, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear communication
- Knowledge of design principles and experience creating designs in Figma a bonus
- Familiarity with software development processes and technologies is a bonus
- East Coast time zone
- Availability at ~7am ET to meet with colleagues in other timezones
Location: This role is based on U.S. Eastern Time. The position may be performed in a hybrid arrangement associated with our Ann Arbor, Michigan office (preferred) or remotely from the U.S. East Coast. This role requires availability to begin work at 7:00 a.m. Eastern Time with colleagues in different timezones.
Relocation: This position does not offer financial support for relocation.
Travel: This role requires national and global travel of approximately two weeks per year or more. Candidates must maintain a valid passport.
