About the Production Assistant

Soona is looking for organized, tech-savvy, and creatively driven Production Assistants (“PAs”) to support our studio teams on a contract basis. This is a flexible, on-demand role — engagements may be booked hourly for individual shoot days or on a project basis for multi-day productions. PAs are a critical hand on set and in the studio, helping producers and creatives keep production running smoothly from prep through wrap.

This is an independent contractor position. Compensation will be structured as either an hourly rate or a flat project rate, depending on the scope of the assignment. Specific rates (starting at $24/hr), scheduling expectations, and booking cadence will be discussed prior to engagement. This role requires reliable transportation to either our Denver or Minneapolis studio.

What You'll Do

  • Prep product packages for shoots, including intake and organization of client products

  • Support producers with any on-set needs during live shoots

  • Partake in light styling efforts on set

  • Help maintain an efficient, organized studio and warehouse space, including light cleaning and shooting bay setup/breakdown

  • Communicate with clients as needed during production

  • Create detailed, accurate editing notes for the post-production team

  • Run business-related errands as needed

  • Execute production tasks with a high level of efficiency and professionalism aligned with Soona standards

  • Adapt to changing processes and priorities with a positive attitude

  • Take on additional tasks as needed to support the production team

What You'll Bring

  • 1+ years of experience in inventory management

  • 1+ years of experience in production (studio, film, photo/video, or similar)

  • Strong organizational and systems-oriented thinking

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfort working closely within a team environment

  • Reliable transportation and availability to work at both the Denver and Minneapolis studios

  • Google Suite experience is a plus

Additional Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Comfortable working in both storage/warehouse and studio settings

  • Strong multitasking skills, especially in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Availability to accept bookings on a flexible, as-needed basis (hourly or per-project)
