As we continue to grow, we are looking for a driven and results-oriented Account Executive to join our team and help expand our reach in the fleet, automotive, and government sectors.

About The Role

The Director of Sales at SparkCharge will be responsible for developing and executing a high-growth sales strategy to scale our business. This role requires a proven sales leader with deep experience in B2B sales, enterprise partnerships, and team leadership. The Director of Sales will focus on expanding SparkCharge’s presence in fleet electrification, automotive, energy, and government sectors, leading a high-performing sales team, and driving revenue through strategic deals and partnerships.

What You'll Do

  • Sales Strategy & Leadership
    • Develop and implement a scalable sales strategy to drive revenue growth across multiple customer segments (fleets, auto OEMs, government, and enterprise).
    • Define and execute short-term and long-term sales goals, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
    • Establish a repeatable and scalable sales process that optimizes lead generation, conversion, and retention.
    • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to shape pricing models, go-to-market strategy, and product positioning.
  • Revenue Growth & Business Development
    • Own and drive revenue targets, ensuring consistent quarter-over-quarter growth.
    • Build enterprise-level relationships with fleet operators, auto manufacturers, energy providers, municipalities, and other key stakeholders.
    • Lead high-value negotiations and close strategic deals that position SparkCharge as a dominant player in mobile EV charging.
    • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and verticals to expand SparkCharge’s market footprint.
  • Sales Team Development & Management
    • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team, including Account Executives, Business Development Representatives, and Sales Operations.
    • Implement best-in-class training programs, performance metrics, and incentive structures to drive success.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the sales organization.
    • Leverage CRM and analytics tools to track performance, optimize pipeline management, and improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with Marketing to refine lead generation strategies and execute targeted campaigns.
    • Partner with Product & Engineering to ensure customer feedback informs product development.
    • Collaborate with Operations to optimize service deployment and meet customer expectations.
    • Align with Finance to ensure profitable growth and accurate revenue forecasting.Describe the specific responsibilities and job functions of the role
Qualifications

  • Experience & Expertise
    • 10+ years of B2B sales leadership experience, preferably in EV charging, energy, fleet management, automotive, or mobility services.
    • Proven track record of building and scaling sales teams, exceeding revenue targets, and closing multi-million-dollar deals.
    • Strong enterprise sales background, with experience selling into fleet operators, municipalities, utilities, or auto OEMs.
    • Experience in negotiating complex, high-value contracts and structuring long-term partnerships.
  • Skills & Leadership Qualities
    • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to sales growth.
    • Strong ability to mentor, coach, and inspire sales teams to perform at a high level.
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with executive-level stakeholders.
    • Deep understanding of CRM tools, sales analytics, and forecasting methodologies.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment and adapt to market dynamics.
